     (Support.  Brings the election of Women’ Division Directors under the same process of other general boards and agencies—from official UM jurisdictional pool—rather than from an exclusive Women’s Division controlled process.)

    (Support.  Allows choice in women’s ministries supplemental to United Methodist Women.  This petition would be favored above Petition #41044.)

    (Support.  Expands opportunity for supplemental women’s ministries—but keeps UMW under Women’s Division. This petition secondary to Petition #40733, but a viable alternative if the other will not pass.)

            

  1. Local UMW Unit Accountable to Local Church, Petition #40734-LC-Par. 255, Pg. 1384, Volume 2, Section 2
    (Support.  This petition puts UMW under local church ministries, as are all other local church     ministries, while still acknowledging the UMW relationship with the Women’s Division.  This allows for greater cooperation in ministry between UMW and the local church.)
