CONGRATULATIONS
DIANE KNIPPERS!

We join countless others in congratulating RENEW friend and consultant, Diane Knippers for the recognition given to her in Time magazine as one of the 25 most influential contemporary evangelicals in America!  Diane is President of the Institute on Religion and Democracy.  At one time she was on staff at Good News magazine.

Diane has led the IRD to a place of prominence as a Christian “think tank” that brings integrity and astute insight to the witness of the Church in society.  The IRD is an ecumenical organization with numerous denominational committees serving under its broad umbrella.  UMAction is the United Methodist committee of the IRD.

The IRD is committed to reforming the Church's social and political witness and to building and strengthening democracy and religious liberty at home and abroad. We publish newsletters, report on church activities, and organize special projects. In addition, we maintain committees that work for reform in the Episcopal Church, the Presbyterian Church USA, and the United Methodist Church. The IRD sponsors the Ecumenical Coalition on Women and Society, and an International Religious Freedom project. The IRD also acts as the program and publicity arm of the Association for Church Renewal.
