At the Spring Women’s Division Board
of Directors meeting, the decision was made to change the
giving category “Undesignated Pledge to Mission” to “Mission
Giving.” If the funds given by United Methodist Women are
going to projects and programs we truly consider as “mission,”
this is well and good. But, if the organizations, projects
and programs supported by our mission dollars are contrary to
our understanding of what “mission giving” means to us, we
have a concern that needs to be addressed.
The RENEW Network is updating its
Financial File. Watch this space for the posting of this
important document. It will provide you with the information
you need to make an informed decision about “Mission Giving.”
